Colouring by me.



The techniques I used here were a bit of a departure for me. I usually tone different areas on different layers because I could see no other way. This ends up with loads of layers and slows down the program.

This time, I used two main layers to create the shades, and several highlight layers. I was able to reduce the shades to two layers by using the multiply blending function for the colouring layers. This showed the shade layers underneath, without diluting the colour of the colour layers.

The highlights still seemed to be necessary to do on separate layers, since putting them behind the colour layers didn't seem to work.

Well, this is what learning is about. I learnt a new technique of colouring, and there are still others I have left unexplored.
